As Managing Director of Bartley West, Tonya combines the leadership of the practice with her continued hands-on work as an FRICS Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer and RICS Registered Expert Witness. With extensive experience across residential property, she provides RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 3 Building Surveys and professional property valuations throughout Hampshire and the South of England.
Tonya also specialises in Expert Witness work for property disputes, including acting as a Single Joint Expert in matrimonial matters. Passionate about supporting the next generation of surveying professionals, her leadership has helped shape Bartley West’s commitment to developing new talent, with the practice named a finalist for Next Generation Employer of the Year at the 2026 Inspiring Women in Property Awards.

As Head of Surveying at Bartley West, Peter brings many years of experience and a wealth of technical knowledge to residential surveying and valuation. A Fellow of RICS (FRICS), RICS Registered Valuer and RICS Accredited Expert Witness, he is recognised for his high professional standards and expertise across a wide range of property matters.
Peter specialises in RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 3 Building Surveys, residential property valuations and Lease Extension work across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey and surrounding areas. His Accredited Expert Witness status also reflects his experience in providing clear, independent professional opinion on more complex property matters.

With a strong background in New Build Building Services and building pathology, Michael brings extensive technical experience to residential surveying across Hampshire, West Sussex, Wiltshire and Dorset. An MRICS Chartered Surveyor, MCIOB member and RICS Registered Valuer, he specialises in RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 3 Building Surveys and Snagging Surveys and Pre-Completion Inspections.
Michael’s experience spans both new-build homes and older properties, allowing him to provide detailed, practical advice across a wide range of building types and defects. As Regional Manager for the Southern Team, he also leads his team with a strong focus on technical standards and excellent client service.

From older character properties to modern homes, Karl has extensive experience assessing a wide range of residential buildings across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire. His expertise covers RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 3 Building Surveys, residential property valuations and defect analysis, helping clients gain a clear understanding of their property.
As an MRICS Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, Karl combines professional expertise with additional experience in corporate Stock Condition Surveys. His broad understanding of building condition and property defects enables him to provide thorough, independent and practical advice to clients.

With surveying experience spanning both the UK and Hong Kong, Ivan brings a broad perspective and strong technical knowledge to residential property inspections across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. An MRICS Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, he carries out RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, Level 3 Building Surveys and residential property valuations.
Ivan has a particular strength in defect analysis, carefully assessing properties to identify potential concerns and helping clients understand what his findings mean in practical terms. His detailed approach provides buyers with clear, independent advice when making important property decisions.

Robert brings extensive hands-on experience from across the property industry and building trades to his role as a Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer. Based in Fleet, he works with clients across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, combining practical building knowledge with professional surveying expertise.
As an AssocRICS Surveyor, Robert carries out RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and residential property valuations, providing straightforward advice to help clients better understand their property. He is also continuing his professional development towards achieving MRICS Chartered Surveyor status.
Adrian

Adrian has over 20 years’ experience in building surveying and property maintenance, with a degree in Building Surveying and AssocRICS status. Based in Greater London, he carries out RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and Level 3 Building Surveys across South and West London, including Richmond, Wandsworth, Chelsea, Wimbledon, Kingston upon Thames and surrounding areas.
With extensive experience of London properties, including previous work with Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, Adrian specialises in residential surveys, building pathology and defect diagnosis. He has particular expertise in investigating damp, mould, timber decay and structural movement, and enjoys getting to the root cause of more complex property defects.
Rebecca

Rebecca is an MRICS Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer based in the Test Valley, Hampshire, with extensive experience providing residential surveys and property valuations across Hampshire and the South. She carries out RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, providing clear, independent advice to help buyers understand the condition of a property before they commit.
Rebecca also specialises in Shared Ownership and Help to Buy valuations, providing professional, independent advice to guide clients through the valuation process. Her thorough and approachable service helps clients move forward with clarity and confidence.
Giles

Based in Poole, Giles has years of experience carrying out residential surveys and valuations across the BH postcode area, giving him a real familiarity with Bournemouth, Poole and the wider local property market. Having surveyed homes throughout the area, he has built extensive knowledge of its varied building types, from period and character properties to family homes, apartments and modern developments.
With a BSc (Hons), a Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation and AssocRICS status, Giles combines his professional expertise with the kind of local knowledge that comes from regularly working with properties across Bournemouth and Poole. His understanding of the local housing market and different property types allows him to provide clear, practical advice, helping clients feel confident about the property they are buying.

Development & Innovation
Focused on growing Bartley West and strengthening its presence across the property industry, Michaela leads Business Development, Marketing and Innovation for the practice. She develops new opportunities and partnerships while shaping the marketing strategy, digital presence and wider growth of the Bartley West brand.
Alongside her role, Michaela is currently completing a degree in Digital Marketing, bringing her studies and evolving industry knowledge into the development of the business. With a particular focus on innovation and the client journey, she champions new ideas that strengthen relationships, support the team and help drive Bartley West forward.
Rebecca
Office Manager
Keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, Rebecca is an important part of the day-to-day operations at Bartley West. As Office Manager, she supports our surveyors, manages key systems and processes, and helps ensure reports are delivered efficiently and to our professional standards.
Rebecca is also a friendly and familiar point of contact for our clients, helping to keep everything organised from initial enquiry through to the completion of their survey or valuation.

Hayley is at the heart of the client journey at Bartley West, helping make the process of arranging a survey or valuation as straightforward and reassuring as possible. As part of our Client Services team, she supports clients throughout the process while working closely with our surveyors to keep everything moving smoothly.
Friendly, helpful and always happy to assist, Hayley plays an important role in delivering the responsive and personal service we pride ourselves on.

Terry is Bartley West’s four-legged force of positivity and our very own Head of Pawblic Relations. A regular companion on Peter’s travels, Terry can often be found greeting estate agents and making friends along the way, from Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley through to Greater London.
When he’s not out networking, making an appearance on Teams calls, Terry takes his responsibility for office morale very seriously. With endless enthusiasm and a natural talent for winning people over, he’s always ready to lend a paw.
